A warm welcome to Born!
The Tourist Board of the municipality of Born a. Darß has existed since 2008 as a municipal enterprise, which, amongst other things, also operates its own building yard. The Tourist Information & Accommodation Service, with around five staff members in this area, has been active since 1990 as a tourism service provider, host, developer and driving force behind the resort of Born and its surrounding region.
For example, in 2015 the municipality of Born voted in favour of taking out a loan (approx. €1.8 million) to acquire and preserve the historic Petersson’s Farm, a landmark of the town. As a result, the Born Tourist Board is responsible for running the Petersson’s Captain’s House on the site and acts as the host for this property.
It is very important to us that you feel at home during your holiday in Born and at your accommodation. The staff at the Born Tourist Information Centre are available to assist you all year round, with opening hours that vary according to the season.
